The Ole London Hotel Macau doesn’t look “ole.” Its façade and interior are too bright and cheery to be described as “ole.” With walls of tangerine and light wood, it surely doesn’t look like London did in days of yore. Ole London Hotel Macau is a hip version of English style, and its management is aware, too—and focused on making guests so satisfied that they will book return visits.

The lobby is marked by a white staircase, but an elevator whisks guests to their floors. The dining area at the rear lobby is clean and casual, the sort of morning staging area that is perfect for guests starting their vacation day. It doubles as a gathering spot at the end of the day, where families and couples can wind down before retiring to their rooms.

Macau is not a large area. It follows that Ole London Hotel, while situated in a relatively quiet part of the city, is not far from any of the major attractions. It is especially conveniently located to historic sites, such as the ruins of St. Paul Church and the A-MA Temple, as well as to Macau’s commercial center. It is 10 minutes to the ferry terminal.
