Altira Hotel Macau was renamed in 2009 after another Melco Crown hotel arose in Macau. Being reborn has been a rewarding experience. In 2011, Altira was named best 5-star hotel in Macau. The award by an international property organization recognized the hotel’s outstanding spa as well as its fascinating array of guest facilities and services.
The 38-story hotel is the tallest in Taipa and faces the harbor, so guests have a panoramic view of Macau city center across the harbor. Guests have 216 choices for living arrangements, including 24 VIP suites and 8 villas. The rooms vary in size and configuration but not in quality. All are resplendently appointed for guest satisfaction.
Eating is a tough choice, with Alitra Hotel Macau offering several notable dining venues. If you’re in a hurry, the Monsoon casual café is a good choice. Ying offers classical and modern interpretations of Chinese cuisine. Kira and Tenmasa restaurants serve Japanese food. Aurora is a Michelin-starred Mediterranean restaurant featuring Italian creations.
