The Hong Kong Ballet brings you a classic story and lovely scene this summer - Cinderella. This enchanting story was transformed into a ballet feast with rokofiev's melodious music and the magical input by the award-winning North-American choreographer David Allan.

It doesn't matter if everybody knows already how it turns out. You will definitely be caught up in the utterly romantic tale of the little princess, her prince, the fairy-godmother, the ugly sisters and the merciless stepmother. Cinderella is a worldwide known narrative and many versions were written. David Allan focused on Charles Perrault's tale, adding some Russian elements, leading the dancers to depict the blossoming of Cinderella and Prince Charming poetic love. The choreographer stressed that "unlike most of the full-length ballets that form a part of the classical canon, there is no definitive version of Cinderella which allowed me tremendous artistic latitude and freedom." With Allan's fluent and flowing choreography, bringing the right touch of romance and heart-warming emotions, and designer Peter Cazalet's magnificent sets and costumes, the stage is transformed into a magical and fantasized world.
