Considered Taiwan's R&B godfather, and described as "The Most Talented Asian Composer-Singer" by U.S. Billboard, David Tao is a popular Taiwanese singer and music composer, who has worked with a long list of famous artists, including A Mei, and has also written songs for S.H.E.

His first self-titled album "David Tao" (1997), brought an R&B trend to the Taiwan music Industry, with his version of "Spring Wind", originally a favorite Taiwanese folk song, starting his trend of covering old songs in an R&B style, including "Beach", "Love is Simple" and "Airport 10.30", which has been acclaimed as one of his best ever recorded songs.

In recent years, David's music has changed towards a more pop and rock style with his studio albums "I'm Ok", "Black Tangerine", "Ultrasound 1997-2003", "The Great Leap 2005" and "Beautiful", bringing him huge success, including being nominated for numerous music industry awards.
