Macao Museum

Macao Museum: Exterior

Overview

Located in the historical heart of Macau neighbouring many historical sights, the Macao Museum is housed partially in the famous Mount Fortress.

Exhibitions within its three floors include a blend of the historical (commerce, religion, culture and traditions) and modern (popular arts and contemporary Macanese city life). When visiting, guests should proceed floor by floor from the top down or the down up, with the former chronically following Macau’s history while the latter offers a peak backwards into history.

Besides the obvious Mount Fortress, visitors to the Macao Museum should also check out the nearby Ruins of St. Pauls, the signature attraction in Macau.
